Police Determined to Solve Homicide
Cases
The Commissioner of Police, Ausbert Regis
and Assistant Commissioner Hermangild Francis, responsible
for crime, prosecution and discipline, held a Press Conference
at the Commissioner’s office on Thursday, the 30th of
March 2006.
The primary purpose of the conference was to promulgate an
initiative recently embarked upon by the Force, whereby a
reward of $8000.00EC will be offered to members of the public
for information leading to the arrest and successful prosecution
of any person who is a suspect in the case of a homicide.

On Tuesday the 28th of February 2006, Lionel Elliot Ashers, of
Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, arrived in Saint Lucia on Caribbean
Star, flight # 792, via George F. L. Charles Airport. He later
proceeded to the Hewanorra International Airport, Vieux Fort,
St. Lucia, where he checked in on Virgin Atlantic, Flight #32,
enroute to London, England.
