On Monday 28th November 2005, about 12:15 am, the Vieux Fort Marine
Unit intercepted a fishing vessel “Rise Up” off the
coast of Micoud, with a total of 130lbs of Cannabis on board.

Fire at Boys Training Centre - 28/11/05
On Friday 25th November 2005, about 11:25pm, 11-year-old Jamal
Roberts of Pavee, Castries, died as a result of a fire whilst
he was in a holding cell at the Boys Training Centre situated
at Massade, Gros- Islet.

Suspected Suicide - 28/11/05
15-year-old, Christopher Edward of Arundell Hill, Castries, was
found hanging from a balcony about 7:55pm at Arundell Hill. Investigations
into this matter are continuing.

and charged.

Caught at Sea - 25/11/05
On Monday the 21st of November 2005, the Police Marine Unit intercepted
a small vessel about 2.5 miles off the coast of Soufriere. There
were three occupants in the boat at the time. They are two Dominican
Nationals, namely: Felix Langlais, and Nemo Leathal and one Vincentian
National, Shawn William.

Homicide - 22/11/05
On Tuesday the 22nd day of November, 2005 about 1:30am, Michael
Nolly a.ka. Michael Jn.Baptiste, age 31 of Ciceron, Castries,
was shot in the abdomen by a known person while at his Ciceron
home.

Update on Drugs found in Moule-a-Chique - 21/11/05
The Southern section of the Police Marine Unit hauled in an unusual
catch during a successful ‘fishing’ expedition. At
10:43 pm Saturday 30th April 2005, one of the Unit’s patrol
boats spotted a suspicious vessel just off Moule-a –Chique,
Vieux Fort.

21 year old Candy Marie Ward of London, England, was sentenced
to 27 months in prison on 16th November 2005, for having in her
possession 1.5kg of cocaine valued at $37,000 EC, hidden in two
wood carvings.

Drug Eradication - 18/11/05
On 16th November 2005, the Southern Special Services Unit and
the Drug Unit eradicated 4267 fully grown Marijuana plants and
2012 young plants on four plantations in the Belle Vue, Vieux
Fort area.

Attempted Robbery - 15/11/05
About 8:30am on Monday 14th November 2005, an unknown man walked
into the First Caribbean Bank Vieux Fort Branch, armed with a
cutlass demanding money.

On Friday 11th November on the DBS News cast, it was
reported that there was a double homicide, referring to a young
pregnant lady namely Camilla Edwin who was found dead earlier
that same morning in the Fond Assau area.

9/11/05
In reference to an article in the Wednesday’s Star
dated 9th November 2005, indicating that a man died as a result
of a stab wound to the chest area, on Friday evening, 4th November
2005. The Royal St. Lucia Police Force would like to correct this
statement by saying that no one died as a result of that incident.
