On Friday the 29th of August 2008, about 3:30pm on the Corinth Road, Marvin Eliodore, of La Guerre, Babonneau, was riding a motor cycle registration number: PG 2015 along with a pinion rider, 31 year old Irvin Popo of the same address. While riding, the pinion rider fell off the motor cycle and rolled under an oncoming car. He sustained head injuries. Neither of the riders was wearing a helmet at the time.
Irvin Popo was taken to Victoria Hospital and was pronounced dead on arrival. Eliodore who also fell off the motor cycle, sustained minor injuries and was treated at the Victoria Hospital.
Investigation is continuing in the matter.
