HOMICIDE

A stabbing incident which occurred at Active-Hill, La Clery, Castries, has left a mother of a six year old boy, dead.

On Monday the 3rd of July 2006, about 10:45 PM, 23 year old Sherryann Myers, was at her Active-Hill home along with her son who was asleep at the time, when her boyfriend slashed her throat and stabbed her several times in the area of her chest and abdomen. She was pronounced dead upon arrival at Victoria Hospital, Castries. Her boyfriend fled the scene thereafter.

Upon receiving information, officers of the Criminal Investigation Department (C.I.D), proceeded to Vanard, Castries, on Tuesday the 4th of July 2006, about 10:00 AM, where 28 year old, Vincent Williams, was apprehended at his mother’s residence, in connection with this incident.

Williams is currently at Victoria Hospital under police guard, where he is nursing an injury to his throat, which he claimed to have sustained during the altercation with the deceased.
