On Wednesday the 5th of March 2008, a post mortem examination was performed on the body of Berthelie Mangal, 36 years of Desrameaux, quarter of Gros Islet.
The result indicated that she died from Haemorrhagic Shock secondary to stab wounds.
Mangal was found dead inside her house on Friday the 29th of February 2008, about 5:20pm, with a wound to her neck, cheek and on the area above the chest.
Her live-in boyfriend is still recovering at the Victoria Hospital from wounds to his throat and stomach area. Investigation is still continuing in the matter.
