MACHINE READABLE PASSPORTS TO BE ISSUED IN PHASES

The Passport (Fees) (Amendment) Regulations, published in an extraordinary publication of the Saint Lucian Government Gazette on February 28, 2007 has paved the way for the sale of the Machine Readable Passports.

With immediate effect, passports will be issued to the following categories of applicants:

• First time applicants.
• Individuals with expired passports.
• Individuals with damaged or mutilated and also lost passports.
• Individuals with passports issued for one (1) year.

The public is asked to note that all other passports will be changed upon expiration, or if recalled by Immigration authorities.
