Possession of Illegal Firearm

Acting on information received on Saturday the 4th day of October 2008, about 7:40am, officers from the Choiseul Police Station proceeded to Mongouge, quarter of Choiseul, conducted a search on Gilroy Mathew, age 23 of New Development, Soufriere.
During the search, officers found a 1.44 revolver in his possession. He was arrested and charged for Possession of an Illegal Firearm. He was taken to court on Tuesday the 7th of October 2008, where he pleaded guilty to the charge. He was fined the sum of $7500 EC to be paid forthwith in default three years imprisonment. |
