On Sunday the 14th of December, 2008 about 5:00pm, detectives at the Criminal Investigation Department responded to a report of a drowning incident at the Millennium Highway beach, involving two siblings originally of Ciceron,Castries.
Dead is 23 year old Fleur Henry who left her Ciceron home about 12:15pm on the aforesaid date, along with her 10 year old brother, Bradley Henry, for the aforementioned beach.
They later encountered some difficulty when an approaching wave carried them further out at the sea. A rescue effort was made by another sea bather, Randy Thomas who managed to get Bradley close to the shore while he struggled to save the sister. Bradley then returned to the water to assist Thomas but was submerged by another wave.
The ambulance arrived on the scene shortly after and transported Fleur Henry to the Victoria Hospital where she was pronounced dead about 5:00pm. Her brother Bradley has not been found but the Marine Unit continues their search for him. |
