On Saturday the 20th of December 2008, about 3:40am, 40 year old John Leopold aka “Gilroy” or “One-Arm-Bandit” of Wilton’s Yard, popularly known as “Graveyard”, was stabbed several times to the chest and abdomen.
He was taken to Victoria Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
A 35 year-old man is currently assisting police with their investigations.
Police are yet to establish the motive but reports indicate that there was a heated argument between the deceased and the suspect.
A Post Mortem will be performed later today.
Investigation is continuing into the matter. |
