Traffic Accident at Babonneau, Leaves one Person Dead

A traffic accident which occurred at Talvan, Babonneau quarter of Castries, about 6:20pm on Wednesday the 8th of July, 2009, has left one person dead.
It was reported that on the aforesaid day, a motor car registration number: PB 2770, driven by Benedict Pierre Louis, 20 years of Fond St.Jacques, Soufriere, came into contact with three persons who were walking along the Talvan Road. They are: Monica Chandler, 39 years, Franklyn Chandler, 34 years and Stacy Chandler, 13 years, all of Cabishe, Babonneau.
They were taken to the Victoria Hospital, Castries where Monica Chandler was pronounced dead. Franklyn Chandler was treated and discharged while his daughter Stacy was admitted.
Benedict Pierre Louis is currently in police custody in connection with this incident. Police are continuing their investigation. |
