Canaries Man Captured by Police

A team of police officers captured Matta Joseph, on a marijuana plantation in the Canaries forest about 11:25am on Wednesday the 9th of September 2009.
Matta was wanted by police for stabbing 26 year old Juliette Mauricette, of Canaries multiple times in the vicinity of the Rodney Bay Shopping Mall about 10:30am on Friday the 12th of June, 2009.
Matta was shot in the arm by police during his arrest. He is presently at the Victoria Hospital.
During this operation a total of 1047 fully grown marijuana plants were destroyed on the plantation.
Matta was also arrested for possession and cultivation of controlled drugs to wit: cannabis.
