Vehicular Accident Claims Life of Dennery Youth
Police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of Rocandsha Stacy Jules, 16 years of Grand-Ravine, quarter of Dennery, who was involved in a motor vehicle accident about 4:20pm on Sunday the 8th of November, 2009 at Grand-Ravine.
It was reported that Jules along with ten other passengers, were travelling on board a White Mitsubishi, 4-door- pick-up van, registration number: PE 7212 which was driven by Michael Louis of Sarrot, Castries, who was on his way to La Ressource, Dennery, when the vehicle ran off the road and crashed into a utility pole.
The occupants of the vehicle were taken to the Dennery Hospital where Rocandsha Jules was pronounced dead. The driver and some passengers were treated and discharged while the rest were taken to the Victoria Hospital where they were admitted.
