Elderly Woman Died from Excess Smoke
On Monday the 28th of December, 2009, a post mortem which was performed on the body of Marie Griffith, 81 years of Arundell-Hill, Castries, revealed death by smoke inhalation.
The deceased was at her house about 6:00am on Saturday the 26th of December, 2009, when the wall structure got completely destroyed by fire. She was later found at her house with injuries to her face and was taken to the Victoria Hospital where she was pronounced dead on arrival. |
