La Pansee Youth Pleads Guilty to Manslaughter
On Wednesday the 27th of January, 2010, Christopher Edward, alias “Coolie Chris”, 30 years old of La Pansee, Castries, appeared in the High Court where he pleaded guilty to Manslaughter. A date for his sentencing was scheduled for Thursday the 25th of February, 2010.
The incident occurred about 7:30pm on the 14th of July, 2008, in an area of the Derek Walcott Square, Castries, where 18-year-old, Marlon Boxil, of Rock-Hall, Castries, was stabbed during an altercation involving Christopher Edward. Boxil was later pronounced dead at the Victoria Hospital.
