Youth Died after Cedars Stabbing
Police are currently investigating the death of Kelvin Marquis, 19 years old, originally of Debrieul, Choiseul but resided at Patterson’s Gap, Castries, who was allegedly stabbed about 8:30pm, on Sunday the 7th of February, 2010, on the Cedars Road, Castries, near the entrance of the St.Joseph’s Convent.
According to reports, Marquis was walking along the aforesaid road when he was attacked by two men who made an attempt to rob him. One of the men stabbed marquis in an area of his chest in the process. He was later taken via ambulance to the Victoria Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
One man is currently in police custody assisting with the investigation. A post mortem is scheduled to be performed shortly.
Kelvin Marquis was employed as a security guard at the new mental hospital on the Millennium Highway, Castries.
