Police Officer Dies from Several Gunshot Wounds
On Tuesday the 23rd of February, 2010, a post mortem which was performed on the body of Corporal Vincent Trevor Peters, 52 years old, originally of Choiseul, revealed death by haemorrhagic shock due to damaged great vessels, as a consequence of multiple gunshot wounds.
Corporal Peters was shot multiple times about 9:00pm, on Friday the 19th of February, 2010, at the Castries Waterfront, on John Compton Highway. His assailant, Jacob Owen Jules of Morne Du Don, Castries was shot in the process by a special patrol team of police officers. He was pronounced dead at the Victoria Hospital. Another officer, Timothy John, who was in the company of Peters, was also shot multiple times but has since been discharged from the Victoria Hospital and remains in a stable condition. |
