Young Men Caught with Drugs
On Sunday the 14th of March, 2010, about 5:10pm, the Richfond Police intercepted a blue Suzuki Escudo, registration number: 5114, along the Richfond Highway. The vehicle was driven by 32 year old Dillan Joseph of Babonneau, Castries. There were two other occupants on the vehicle namely: Garvin Louisien, age 34 of Gros- Islet and Vincent Frederick, age 32 of Morne Road, Castries. A search of the vehicle was conducted and two bags of compressed marijuana with a street value of $20,000 EC were found.
The men were arrested and charged for the offences of possession of controlled drugs and possession with intent to supply. They were taken to court in Dennery on Monday the 15th of March, 2010, where they pleaded not guilty to the charges. The matter was adjourned to Wednesday the 17th of March, 2010. |
