Passerby Finds Loaded Firearm near School

5th May 2010.On Tuesday the 4th of May, 2010, about 4:55pm, detectives attached to the Criminal Investigation Department (C.I.D.), Castries, responded to a report at a school within the Castries region, where a 12-guage shotgun which was loaded with four rounds of ammunition, was handed over to them.
Reports indicate that a passerby had noticed the firearm in the bush near the school about 4:30pm, on the aforesaid day and consequently notified the principal who reported the matter to the police.
An investigation is in progress, in relation to the incident.
