Bomb Hoax at George F.L. Charles Airport

On Saturday the 26th of June 2010, Serge Basil Mishaud, a French national was about to board an Air Caribe Flight to Guadeloupe when his bags were searched by the screening officers at the George FL Charles Airport. Upon searching the bags Mr. Mishaud informed the screening officers that he was in possession of bomb which he was going to use to bomb himself on the air plane.
The E.O.D. officers AKA “Bomb Squad” from the Royal St. Lucia Police Force were called in to assess the situation. It was found out to be hoax. Mr. Mishaud was arrested and charged for the offence of “Making a bomb Hoax” on Monday the 28th June 2010. He has remanded until the 9th of July 2010. |
