Sports Journalist Charged for Serious Assault to Colleague

Vieux-Fort police have since charged 48-year-old, Robertson Henry of Morne-Du-Don, Castries, for the offence of Grievous Harm to Anthony Debeauville of Corinth Estate, Gros-Islet.
Henry appeared in court on Thursday the 29th of July, 2010, where he was granted bail in the sum of $5000.00EC, cash or suitable surety. The court ordered him to surrender his travelling documents and report to the Criminal Investigation Department (C.I.D), Castries, every Monday between the hours of 6:00am and 6:00pm. He was also asked to stay away from Debeauville and members of his family. The case was adjourned to the 17th of August, 2010.
This incident occurred about 2:30pm, on Sunday the 25th of July, 2010, at the George Odlum Stadium, Vieux-Fort, where Henry allegedly struck Debeauville several times in the head. Henry later surrendered himself to police at the Vieux-Fort Police Station. |
