Vieux-Fort Youth Dies in Car Accident

Micoud police are currently investigating a vehicular accident which occurred on the Mon Repos Highway, about 5:45pm on Wednesday the 25th of August, 2010, involving a motorcar registration number: PJ1411, driven by 21-year-old, Merlex Clifford of Cedar Heights, Vieux-Fort.
Reports indicate that the motorcar was travelling in the direction of Vieux-Fort, when it ran off the road and turned over several times before coming to a stop. The driver and two of the other three passengers were taken to the medical facility at the George Odlum Stadium via ambulance, where the driver, Merlex Clifford was pronounced dead.
One of the passengers, Cheris Francis, 22years old, also of Cedar Heights, was transferred to the Victoria Hospital where he is currently admitted in a critical condition. The other passenger, 23-year-old, Rick Kisna of La Ressource, Vieux-Fort, was treated for minor injuries and later discharged. The third passenger, Calab Antoine, 23 years old of Cedar Heights, escaped unhurt. |
