Shootings in Castries, Two Dead and Several Injured

An investigation is currently ongoing in relation to two separate shootings which occurred over the weekend and resulted in the death of two men and several others injured.

The first incident occurred at Agard, Mon-Du-Don, Castries, about 9:00pm on Friday the 27th of August, 2010, when according to reports, two masked men approached a group of people attending a Bar-B-Que and fired several shots in their direction.  A 52- year - old man, Justus Cenott, proprietor of a shop in the area, was shot in the chest, he was later pronounced dead at the Victoria Hospital.  A 16-year-old girl, Kershel Jn Marie, was shot in the head but she is in a stable condition at the Victoira Hospital.

Four other persons were shot but two were treated and discharged, while the other two were admitted at the Victoria Hospital.  No one has been arrested.

The other incident occurred at Conway, Castries, about 11:00am on Saturday the 28th of August, 2010 and reports indicate that two men were shot during a shooting.   A 30-year-old man, Dave Eleodore alias “Boytie” of Grande Riviere, quarter of Gros Islet, was shot several times about the body and the other man, Denver Norley, 24 years old of La Borne, Monchy, quarter of Gros Islet, was shot in the abdomen.  Eleodore was pronounced dead on the scene, while the other man is currently admitted at the Victoria Hospital. 

No one has been arrested in connection with this incident
