Saint Lucian Woman Caught with Drugs at George

On Sunday the 4th of December, 2011, about 10:00am, airport security officials, intercepted a 31-year-old woman, Michelle Staphanie Mingo, originally of Ciceron, Castries, who was preparing to board a L.I.A.T flight bound for Barbados.
A search of her person was conducted and the security officers discovered a quantity of four hundred (400) grammes of marijuana which was strapped on her body. She was consequently arrested and thereafter charged by the members of the Drug Unit of the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force, for possession of controlled drugs, possession with intent to supply and attempt to export controlled drugs.
Michelle Stephanie Mingo, who is also a citizen of the United States of America, appeared in court on Tuesday the 6th of December, 2011, where she was granted bail in the sum of $4000:00EC on each charge. The case was adjourned to the 15th of December, 2011.
