Two Seriously Injured in Motor Vehicle Accident at Dennery

Richfond police are currently investigating a traffic accident which occurred about 9:50pm, on Monday the 23rd of January, 2012, at the intersection of the La Ressource Road and Dennery Highway, which left two persons nursing serious injuries at hospital.
Reports indicate that on the aforesaid day, a motor omnibus registration number: M570, driven by 47-year-old Lucius Demar of Pierrot, Vieux-Fort, was attempting to turn onto the highway in the direction of Castries, when it collided with a trailer truck registration number: T360, driven by Bertie Biscette of Ti-Roche, Micoud.
The driver of the omnibus and a female passenger were taken to the Victoria Hospital where they were admitted with broken ribs and chest injuries respectively. The driver of the trailer truck escaped unhurt. |
