Charged with Murder:
Ricardo St. Catherine, age 19, of Desruisseaux, Micoud, has been charged with the murder of his 18 month old daughter, Kayla Camille of Angier, Micoud. Kayla was brought to the St. Judes’s hospital about 11:55am, on Wednesday the 10th of May 2006, by her father; she was experiencing breathing problems at the time she was taken to the hospital. Kayla died about 3:30pm that same day, at the hospital.

A post mortem examination was performed on the body of Kayla Camille and the result indicated that she died of internal bleeding in the brain and abdominal area, caused by multiple trauma with a blunt object.

Ricardo was taken to court at the Bordelais Correctional Facility on Monday the 22nd of May 2006.

Homicide:
Alvin Francis, age 27, of Marigot, was shot in the abdominal area by an unknown individual during the Marigot Day activities, about 12:05am on Sunday the 21st of May 2006.

He was pronounced dead about 12:36am, the same day at Victoria Hospital, by Dr. Gustave

No one has been arrested, however, investigation is continuing.

Shooting Incident:
Shane Christopher, of Bois D’Orange, Gros-Islet, was shot in the back of his head by an unknown individual, on Marie Therese Street, Gros Islet, on Saturday 20th May 2006.

No one has been arrested in connection with this incident.
