Caught at Sea:
On Monday the 21st of November 2005, the Police Marine Unit intercepted
a small vessel about 2.5 miles off the coast of Soufriere. There
were three occupants in the boat at the time. They are two Dominican
Nationals, namely: Felix Langlais and Nemo Leathal and one Vincentian
National, Shawn William.
During the interception, the captain, Nemo Leathal was shot in
the arm. A total of 224 kilograms of marijuana valued at $394,000EC,
was recovered on the vessel.
They were all arrested and charged for Possession of the Drugs
and Intent to Supply. The captain, Nemo Leathal was also charged
with Failing to Stop. The trio will appear in court in Vieux-
Fort, on Monday the 28th of November 2005, to answer the charges.
