Drugs Found at Airport -27/02/06
On Friday the 24th of February 2006, about 5:30pm, at the Hewanorra International Airport, Vieux Fort, a British national, Christopher R Ince was arrested by Customs officers after he cleared security screening and entered the departure lounge. He had in his possession, one black Timberland carry-on bag, when he was stopped. The officers questioned him and subsequently searched the bag in question, which revealed a black plastic bag, containing five (5) grey parcels. The parcels contained a whitish substance that appeared to be cocaine and weighed a total of 5.2 kilos. The bag also contained a British and Irish passport. Ince was arrested whilst attempting to board Virgin Atlantic flight #32 to London.

He has been charged with Possession of Controlled Drugs and Attempt to Export. He will be taken to court today at the Bordelais Correctional Facility.

Update : Christopher Ince pleaded not guilty to the charges and the matter was adjourned for the month of March.
